We are pleased to welcome you to the LIMESEUM Ruffenhofen! Due to the current situation, please note the following points for your own protection and that of others:
If the value is less than 50, a visit is possible without registration. In any case, please provide the contact details of one person per household, the number of persons and the period of the visit.
Please only enter the building if you do not have a fever and have not had any contact with people who have contracted COVID-19 in the last 14 days.
Please wear an FFP2 mask in the museum. If you do not have an FFP2 mask with you, you can purchase one from us for €2 for the museum visit.
Please keep a distance of 1.5 m from others.
Please disinfect your hands. There are dispensers with disinfectant in the entrance area, by the cloakroom and at 5 locations in the museum.
For reasons of hygiene, a few stations in the museum cannot be used at present:
- the touch station
- the smelling station
- the dressing station
- the reading corner
We have developed an approximate tour of the museum with red arrows stuck to the floor so that it is easier for you to keep your distance from other visitors.
Drinks, cakes and ice cream from our museum café are currently available to take away or enjoy outside.
Despite the restrictions, we wish you a pleasant stay!

The LIMESEUM is a barrier-free museum that provides accessibility to disabled persons.
Dogs are not allowed in the museum.
We offer guided tours for groups. Please register early in order to ensure a smooth organization.
For school classes, we offer special tours and are developing a variety of educational programmes. Supplementing a tour through Ruffenhofen Roman Park, we also offer tours through Ruffenhofen Roman Park.
In addition, public tours are offered every month. It is not necessary to register for these in advance. The dates for the next public tours are shown here. Tours meet at the museum counter.
We recommend our small café as a place to go if you have extra time or need a rest before you visit the Roman Park. The café provides beverages, cake and ice-cream. Should you need stronger fare, you can find out here which restaurants in the area are open.
